COACHING Supervision

What is Coaching Supervision?

Coaching Supervision is a process that provides coaches with a confidential and supportive environment to explore their work with clients, reflect on challenges, and develop their skills further. It ensures that coaches remain aligned with ethical standards, conscious leadership principles, and best practices.

At Acaria Coaching and Consulting, we believe that professional development is an ongoing journey, especially for coaches themselves. Our Coaching Supervision service with our Founder, Annette Andrews, offers coaches the space to reflect, grow, and enhance their practice through structured support and feedback.

Coaching Supervision at Acaria Coaching & Consulting

Despite what it is called, Coaching Supervision doesn’t imply oversight or greater experience and expertise, rather it is about the Supervisor and Supervisee(s) learning together in a safe, supportive, and confidential space.

The relationship built is an important one, as it is from here that trust grows and develops; in turn, this creates the space for reflection, discussion and learning in both individual and group sessions.

As your Coaching Supervisor, Annette is your ‘Thinking Partner’, she will walk with you as you both share knowledge and expertise. Sometimes you will take the lead and sometimes she will, but mostly you will explore together.

“Together, we will learn, we will grow, we will laugh, and we will have fun.”

The Value of Coaching Supervision

For coaches to deliver their best, they need regular opportunities to reflect on their methods, emotions, and effectiveness. Coaching Supervision offers several key benefits:

  • Sharpen coaching skills by reflecting on real-life sessions and gaining new insights.
  • Ensure ethical practice by receiving guidance on complex situations and maintaining client well-being.
  • Increase personal and professional development by exploring areas for growth in a supportive space.
  • Prevent burnout by providing a space to process the emotional and mental demands of coaching.

    .

    Conflict Mediation

An essential tool we need as coaches is to be able to stop and reflect – this ensures continuous development, both personally & professionally.

    Asking ourselves:

    • How am I doing currently?
    • How is my coaching practice going?
    • What feedback am I getting and are there any themes that I want to explore?
    • Am I continuing to learn?
    • Are there any particular challenges or scenarios that I would appreciate talking through?
    • What else would I like to add to, or fine-tune, in my tool kit?

Supervision offers you the opportunity to explore these questions and more.

      Our Approach

At Acaria, our supervision model is rooted in reflective practice and conscious leadership. We help coaches:

      • Reflect on their client relationships and the impact of their coaching style.
      • Explore ethical dilemmas and navigate challenging client dynamics.
      • Identify areas for personal growth and develop new techniques.
      • Receive emotional support to help them stay grounded and resilient in their practice.

        Who is Coaching

        Supervision for?

Our Coaching Supervision is ideal for:

        • Professional coaches seeking ongoing development.
        • HR and leadership coaches working within organisations.
        • Executive coaches handling complex leadership dynamics.
        • Coaches in training looking for support and guidance as they start their journey.

At Acaria, we believe that coaching should be as much about the coach’s growth as it is about their clients’ success. Our supervision service helps ensure that coaches are equipped with the insight, resilience, and support they need to thrive.

          Recommended Frequency

All the coaching bodies recommend that coaches regularly participate in Supervision.

At Acaria, we recommend bi-monthly either in individual and /or group sessions. If needed more frequently, or to support an immediate need, then this can easily be arranged for you.

If you are interested in knowing more, then we usually suggest an initial call to understand your needs and interests.

Group sessions are for a maximum of 6 people; individuals can book into a mixed group, or a pre-existing group can book in together.  Being part of a new group is a great way to enhance your learning and your support network. Packages are also available for individuals, or for a combination of both.

Please do get in touch to learn more and to discuss your individual needs and interests.
